vletm, I am not quite sure what the problem is? I need a gannt layout as illustrated. I need your help to suggest if/how it can be done. What data is needed, how should it be organized, etc. should be part of the response.

The data sheet should now reflect the gannt. Start and end come from the dates, and any milestones are also activated if there is a date input. Each gate can then be either pending, approved or rejected. Hope this makes everything clear :-)

Just some very basic lines attached here. And yes, the dates will span over years, but could be monitored in periods of choice. I illustrated it with a quarterly review. Round markers are milestones approved, declined, or in progress. I am not yet sure of the need for formatting the lines, but...

I would like to format a cell colour based on the value from a combobox. Imagine a drop-down list with colour codes and cells adapting to your choice of colour. Is that possible without scripts? Many thanks!
