    figured out the problem but still have an issue. I just realized because in the report it has both sales and return sales(sales value of the items returned within that order) was why it wouldn't sum correctly since there were blank rows under sales if that order had a return tied under it...

    Appreciate the help but I have to have it where there are not blank cells before or in between the items. I have to take the items here and put them into a number workbook after this for something else and those blanks would cause problems in step 2.

    hmm when I downloaded 64 bit office from microsoft 365 it ended up downloading 2016 office. it says power query comes with it in the data tab but I can't seem to find it. Can I still do what you were suggesting with 2016?
