Hi, ian21tan!

As a new user you might want to (I'd say should and must) read this:
http://chandoo.org/forum/forums/new-users-please-start-here.14/

And regarding your issue, I'm afraid that the uploaded file is not enough. Pivot tables are just arrangement of raw data with sorting and grouping features, so you should first specify which is your source data, what would you like your output data looks like, and then someone will be able to help you.

Regards!

Hi ,

I am still not very sure what you want ; is it something like this ?

Narayan

Narayan,

The one you attached is a pivot, I'd to make-it a pivot-like but rather than creating a pivot everytime I update the data I want it to be automated, seems like coutif or sumif will work but how can I make it work in multiple criteria. . .

How many Electrician, Mechanics, Instruments, Pipe fitter and welder in RUSS company and same with the other list of company. . . Almost same like a pivot but its automated. . . thanks

Hi ,

I wanted your confirmation whether the results shown in the file are what you were looking for.

If you confirm this , then you have two options :

1. use formulae to get what you want ; we can use COUNTIF to get the same results

2. use a macro to automate the pivot table refresh whenever the source data changes.

Which one would you prefer ?

Narayan
