Need help with if statement dates

I have a form that I manually enter a date but would like for it to do it automatically so lets say A1 has 7/31/14 and cell A3 has a 2 in it and in cell A4 is this code =A1-3+A3*7 comes to a date of 8/11/14 now what i need for it to happen if the date is 8/4/14 is entered into A1 cell A4 still remains at 8/11/14

Hi Davidrsi,

Can you tell us more about the calculation is doing? Otherwise, why not just type 8/11/14 into A4. How do A1, A12, C12 interact with each other?
