hiding formulas

Hi

I would like to hide formulas in a template made for other people. This hiding should be protected so they can not make it visible. but they should be able modify data which are used to calculate the result of formula. I tried format cells to change in tab protection from locked to hidden and then in review protect sheet. But I could not change the data used for calculations

1. Select All cells, go to format cells, un-check, hidden & protect.
2. Now select only cells with formula, go to format cells check hidden & protect.
3. Now protect the sheet with password.

As to your question there are ways to do this but the protection in excel is not tight and is about as much use as an ashtray on a motorcycle.

If you dont mind me asking why is the protection so bad.

At least for basic set up example Somendra's suggestion worked
