Formula to produce multiple filters

Dear sirs,

The file Lookuptwocolumns.xlsx gives the model, year, and price for each of a series of cars. Set up formulas that enable you to enter the model and year of a car and return its price.

I was able to do this by add a new column with the concatenation. Is there a way to do this without having to make a new column?

For your options, you can use SUMIFS:
=SUMIFS(E3:E14,C3:C14,D17,D3:D14,E17)

Another option:
=INDEX(E3:E14,MATCH(1,INDEX((C3:C14=D17)*(D3:D14=E17),),))

Your database layout design can use IBM Database function, which is faster than all Excel functions

In F17, enter :

=DGET(C2:E14,E2,D16:E17)
