collapsible tree structure in excel

I want to create a collapsible tree structure in excel just like in windows explorer. For example if I am preparing a P&L statement and I want to show a breakup of the costs, it should appear below the category of total costs in a collapsible form. So if a user wants to view the all the items he just has to click something to unhide the rows below

Excel has Grouping which can be done to 8 levels of depth


Select the Rows you want to group then Alt+Shift+Right Arrow


You can Indent to 8 levels depth

Select rows and Alt+Shift+Left Arrow to ungroup


Excel adds - and + buttons to enable quick collapsing/expansion of levels

Hi Hui I tried grouping the rows but when I protect the sheet to hide formulas it doesnt let me change the grouping.
