Worksheet ActiveX controls make my file crash - How to avoid/fix?

Hi all!

The attached file started popping an error message at launch ("Object library invalid or contains references to object definitions that could not be found").

It seems the objects causing the crashes are the listboxes in sheet4 "statistiques".

When I try to delete the listboxes, Excel crashes. I had to redo the whole file; was there a way to fix this without starting a new file?

What is causing that issue? The file had been working fine for several weeks.

What can I do to avoid this happening again?

Thanks !

Check this...

Also check is there ref in missing in VBA references by pressing Alt+F11> Tools> References & uncheck if any.

Hi Deepak & thank you! Did you just move what was in WorkBook into a workbook_open sub in the sheet where the controls are? Or did you change something else?

I have a few things checked in references but I think that's stuff I need: VBA, Ms Excel 14.0 object library, OLE automation, Office 14.0 object library, Ms Forms 2.0 object library, Tabular data control 1.1 type library.

Do you know why the workbook worked for a few weeks then suddenly stopped working ?

Thanks again

Hi,

I found a missing ref in VBA & after removing that all works well..
