Work sheet Password protection

Dear Sir,


I am using Password protection to protect sheet for modify but when I am sending same file by mail than it is automatically become a unprotect.


so kindly advise us.

I would like to suggest you to try the same procedure with a completely new spreadsheet and see if the error persists.


Or you can try sending the same file as a zip and see if it become unprotected automatically after the unzip.

That's not possible, please clarify this points to ensure nothing strange is happening:

a) are you sure you're mailing the very same file as protected?

b) did you set workbook protection to protect visible sheets?

c) did you set worksheet protection to protect cells? if so, do you have all cells (or all involved cells) set as locked?

d) do you have any macros running at open time, or event driven or manually triggered, that may change protection set?

d) just to know, which Excel versions you and emailed people are using?
