Can anybody help me in undertsanding this excel formula?

=E13*0.62*(1-F13/100)

I m a trader n this formula i have seen in my manufacturers excel which he used while sending me the price list of a product.

here E13 is 70 INR and F13 is 15 INR and out come of this formula is 36.89 INR in G13?

and then in H13 he used =G13*1.135/46.35 where 46.35 is exchange rate of usd to indian rupee.

Thanks n Regards

Hi,

This looks very much like a formula that is deducting (discounting?) 15% (F13/100) from the value of 70*.62, I am not sure what the .62 represents

So 70*.62 is 43.4 less 15% is 36.89

It may be that the calculation then adds 13.5% to 36.89 and converts that to USD at the rate of 46.35
