Whenever I try to open a file, it shows a message, “The file is corrupt and cannot be open”.

I have tried some workarounds I am aware of, including reinstalling the complete MS Office program, but I am getting the same message. Can someone suggest the solution to the problem to get rid of this issue and recover those corrupted files?
