I'm pulling all of my orders with the order date and exporting it into excel. The orders start in December 2011 and go till July 2013. When I run the weeknum function using Monday as the start date for the week it gives me 53 weeks in the year for 2011 but starts 2012 on week 2. Does anyone know why it is doing this?

Since a year having 365 days holds 52 full weeks plus a week with 1 day (365 = 52*7+1) it's reasonable if you get a 53 value for the WEEKNUM function for Dec 31st. In fact, depending how you consider the starting week day you'd retrieve even a 54 value.
