Hi there-
Can you please be a little more explicit with what you're trying to accomplish? What are you trying to compare?

hi 3G,

iam getting all A,B,C,D,E column data into F column and
h,i,j,k,l values into M colums.
i have comparision columns F and M in excel sheet. pls look into excel sheet.

thanks for advance for you help

Hi yaparala,

I just tried matching the two column you are trying to match, unfortunately, they are not same. I put in the formula M$2=F2 and dragged down till F12, the answer was FALSE every time. Then i copy/paste the values in M2 to F2, and your vlookup started giving result. so this is issue with the data not with vlookup.

Hi, yaparala!
In column N you're using VLOOKUP formula with last 4th parameter in 0 (i.e., false) which indicates to perform an exact search, and there're no values matching between columns F & M.
Regards!

hi sirJB7,

in F and M column data are not in sequence. i have to search M column data into F column data using vlookup.
i tried this way. just tell me how to search M value into F column data using vlookup. please send me update excel sheet if possible.

thanks for advance

hi Faseeh,

in column F and M data not in sequnce but some of data are same in two columns.

i need to compared M data into F column using vlookup or any other function.please provide the formula with same excel sheet if possible.

thanks for advance

Yaparala,

What you are trying to achieve is not possible because the values in two column are not same!

there're no values matching between columns F & M.
Hi, yaparala!
Have you read me? I neither said nor expected the data to be in order, it simply there's no match at all. I suggest you to revise your calculations, and visually check if then there're matches; if not, you'd be in the same situation.
Regards!
