Vlookup more than 256 character limit problem

Dear All,

Please help me fix the issue on how will i use vlookup function in excel 2007 if the character limit is more then 255, I am getting #VALUE! error.

You could try a different approach, is the limit is the limit, there are ways around it but messy

Where do you want a formula ? What is the data that you will lookup / match , and what is the data that you wish to return from the table ?

Dear Narayan Sir,

I am matching with SZ_Application_No in A2 cell with F2, but in A2:A4 the same number only available for three times, its nothing but 3 entries, but in F2:F3 there are 2 entries, i need the two available results and remaining 1 entry should be blank in D4 cell.

Hi Guna,

See the attached file, Column E with formula and orange highlighted. It's working for your sample data just check on your original file. Notice the formula is an array formula, so must be entered with Ctrl+Shift+Enter.
