Vlookup (I think...)

I have two adjacent columns, A2:A91 and B2:B91. I want to read down column B from B2 until I get a blank/empty cell and return the value of the adjacent cell in column A.

I need a ws fix for this, not vba, if there is one. Should be. I feel like an idiot not being able to figure this out. Any help?

Kip

Thanks Bosco. Gave it a try and it generates Err:508 (Open Office Calc).
Don't know that err code. I'll look it up. Any other ideas?

Yes, I understand now. Didn't understand the obvious vitriol between Excel and OpenOffice users. But you've made that clear. And it's pretty evident on the other forum as well. Oh, well.

Your solution works just fine, after I did additional research regarding differences between Excel and Open Office.

Thanks again for your help.

Hi Kip !

There was no vitriol but just a recommendation 'cause
of differences between Excel versus Open & Libre Office
so you can't ask for a specific error from Open Office on an Excel forum
as obviously you will have more chance on an Open Office forum
to get help about this specific error number !
