I am new this forum and came across this forum found it to be really useful and good way to learn and connect to people who can share knowledge. I took over a task of formatting a workbook at work, which is in form of report that is updated everyday. The workbook have multiple worksheets. To be concise, i would like to give a number, so it can be more clear. I have summary tab, that is the end tab in my workbook, that is exported daily from application. I have other tabs that are named based on filter 'application'. Summary have ID, Status, Application, Details columns. All the application worksheets are the same columns as well. Assuming i have application 'ABC', 'DEF'...etc the tabs are named accordingly. I do have 2 extra sheets in my workbook, one just have some charts, and another is closed. I am looking for a macro that will match the rows in my master sheet and based on application and compare it with the rows i have in my application tab. If any row in master data with application 'ABC' is not present in ABC tab, it should be copied to that tab and if any row is present in 'ABC' tab but not in Master tab, it should be moved to Closed tab. I know it requires filtering and master sheet based on application and comparing. And moreover the number of rows is not fixed, it can be messy. I am not done yet. Master sheet name is Master_sheet+Date. So the the report exported the day, takes the date of that particular date. I would like my Master Data to stay and not deleted.
I will really appreciate any help. I have been struggling with it for last 3 weeks.
