Variable sum

Respected Sirs,

We have a table of dates and values, we need to sum the rows in column AE with respect to the date value in A2:A28 corresponding to dates in B1:AD1.

If the date in A2:A28 is for the month on Feb(A3), we need to sum the rows from March (D2:AD2). I have manually done the total in column AE for 5 values. This is only sample data, the actual data is 4000 rows.

Kindly guide on how to get the dynamic range sum in this case.

Is there any good reason why A-column dates are 'dd/mm/yy' and
1st row dates are 'mm/dd/yy'?
