Using High/Medium/Low results import into a matrix

Hello - I am new to the group and come to the experts of Excel for this crazy thing I need to do. I am not sure that Excel is the right tool, but hope that it is doable.

I have a list of classes that I'm asking someone if they have the experience to teach and materials ready. They will ask themselves "what is the probability that for this class I will be ready without any materials development and what is the probability that I would need time to prepare for this class. They would select from "No experience, High, Medium, and Low".

Once they select that each level, I want the result of the class to fall in the correct box on the matrix. Example would be on the first class if the instructor says Prepared to teach = medium, and preparation of materials = Low, then I would want that class name to display in "c3" which would tell me they need no material preparation of materials time and just a little time to prepare to teach a class.

Any ideas on how to get this to work is greatly appreciated!

This actually won't work if there will be same combination of "Prepared to teach" and "Preparation of materials" more than once. If there are no more classes I suggest using if and concatenate to get possibly more classes in one cell of matrix

Thanks and we are very close, glad you understood what I was trying to achieve. Yes, there can be more than one class within a cell and no that is not all the classes, I just used a subset of info.

Tomas - Can you give me an example of what you are suggesting with if and concatenate?

Nebu - Thanks! That is awesome!

See an example, this formula would get longer with every class you add. All the time where there is "IF" its for another class.

But maybe there can be better solution with formulas

I just tested all 24 and they will all display even though there are 23 if statements!!! This is the solution and I can't begin to say thank you for the huge amount of time you have saved me!!!

You are welcome !

The thing is there are no nested IF. there are lot of separated and concatenated if statements
