Hi

I have Shared Workbook i want as per Username allow to edit data

Means User Name mention in A2 is Jairaj1618 then if this user open file then this user can edit only in Row 2 data range that is A2:E2 only rest data is not allow edit or delete

I have 20 usernames

Please tell me how to do this
 
Thanks for this but this is not possible because i have 20 users & each user different range i want to give access so this is time consuming is their any VBA solution
 
Hi ,

If this is a one-time effort , I do not see how time-consuming it can be.

Of course , you can always wait for someone else to offer a less time-consuming solution.

Sir Its not One time Activity I have 30 sheets in workbook
Your solution if i want to apply then i have to do each sheets need to protect if VBA solution its easy as per my knowledge
 
Hi ,

It is still a one-time activity , to be done exactly once in the lifetime of the workbook.

Secondly , if your workbook is designed so that one user will enter data in 30 worksheets , and a similar action will be done by 20 different users , I think the workbook is badly designed.

As usual , you are making mention of the 30 worksheets only now , otherwise this fact would have come out after someone had taken the trouble of offering a solution to the problem you originally posted.

Can you not have 20 worksheets , one for each user ?
