Trouble Sorting

I am having trouble getting 2 or 3 cells to properly sort using the "custom sort" function. I have about 30 values in a single column that I need to sort in descending order. It is sorting the overwhelming majority of the values correctly, but for some strange reason, it is placing 2 or 3 cells out of numerical order. The values are a result of a simple addition formula. I have tried everything from ensuring that they are all in the same format, same number of decimal places, etc. Any advice.

It will help if you can copy paste the 30 values before and after the sort operation. Without any data before us , how can a specific answer be given ?


I don't understand why a custom sort is required to sort in either ascending or descending order ; a custom sort should be needed only if you want the data sorted in some specific order , which is neither ascending nor descending ; e.g. if you have a list of months Jan , Feb , etc., which are in random order , and you wish to sort them ; obviously it does not make any sense to sort them in alphabetical order , either ascending or descending. What you need is a custom sort , where you specify the order in which you wish the data to be sorted.
