Trick used in the attached file to pop up a guide text box

Hi Experts,


I downloaded a issue tracker template from chandoo.org. A copy of it is also available at http://sdrv.ms/TtbRQs . I want to understand the trick used in this file to pop up guide text box.

To understand it, please open the file and on sheet
Code:
"issue Log 2", click on the cell inGor
I` coloum. a text box will appear. Even you can drag that but how it can be edited and how a new can be added is the point i want to know?

Although strange observation is that in office i have 2007 and popup are available but now i checked it at my home on 2010 and pop-ups are not there.

Hi, KPJ!

I still use 2010 version and I don't get any pop up when clicking on G or I column cells. Would you please upload a print screen of the 2007 version pop up message you got displayed?

KPJ.. this uses Data validation > Input message feature. To set up, select a cell, go to data validation and add input message. This will show up whenever user clicks on that input cell.
 
Wow, Thanks Chandoo, Will you believe that my intuition was saying that this will be explained by you only? This looks a great feature to me and I will never use cell comment option any more.


Now just to figure out why this is not popping up in 2010.
