TRANSPOSE TO CATEGORY

Hello,
Kindly help me with a formulae or VBA code to transpose the category in row 1 to column F by matching the value in column g to data in column H:AS and give the rsults as shown in cell F7 & F8. I have attached an extract of the data I am using.

Similar to Marc's approach
=INDEX($H$1:$AS$1,1,MATCH(G7,H7:AS7,0))
Just because INDEX is non-volatile and OFFSET is!

I had tried to apply your offset formula in Columns F7 & G7, where it has not worked. Did i made any mistake or ? If you don't mind, can you please update that formula in that excel attachment and show the result. I just want to know and learn it.

Hi !

As my Excel versions are local so not native english …
First, my formula works only for F7 cell !
Once formula within F7 cell, just copy it down …

But best formula is from shrivallabha in post #4 !
