Hello,
When I use the Import Wizard in Power Pivot (for Excel files) and enter a path with a file name that does not actually exist (for example, the file "C:\Users\Documents\consolidate.xlsx" exists, but I enter the path "C:\Users\Documents\consolidate2026.xlsx"), and then click on “Test Connection”, a file named "consolidate2026.xlsx" is created (but I cannot open this file).
What is the logic behind this? Why is this file created when testing the connection?
Best regards
Phil
