Tables not updating if sheet protected

I have created a table in a sheet and have protected the sheet. I have left few columns after that table in "Unlock" mode as i would be adding columns to this table.

Normally when I insert new text after last column my Table resizes and include new column. But if I have protect this sheet, this new column in not included. Please help.
 
agreed, but is there any VBA code which can used as workaround for this e.g. whenever a person enters data in new column a event ocurrs which will make excel sheet unportected and table resizes.

I am new to VBA so any help will be appreciated.
