Table not carrying down formulas in some rows

Hello,

I have a table that 15 cols of information and at times I need to expand and add a row. When I do this some cols don't extend the formula down and some do..... Unsure why this happens.

Anyone know how to correct this?

Well, that's the way to do it, is your cursor in the far right bottom most cell when you hit the TAB key?
 
I am having trouble trying to extend the table/formulas as the table is trying to update links, which I do not have, ............................but the only cells that are not updating the formulas are the cells with no employee name.!!!
 
The quick answer is no, I cannot extend the table to see what is happening as the table keeps trying to update the links, I do not know what these are but could they be the cause?

In your table.. few of data are formulated (are extending) and few are Static (are not etending)..

what do you want.. do you want those static EMPLOYEE name's from another file([747 Copy of Kit Tracking Spreadsheet 2014.xlsm]Data Entry'!$A$9+1) to extend automatically..
or those Hour's And Kits need to looku from another sheet.. !!
 
Hi - I would like for the table to adhere to whatever is above it when a row is added via tab. Also, here is a screenshot of what is going on on my side. But I would like for characters to be carried down from all cells refs from above when a new row is added via tab from the last cell in the table. Thank for you assistance as well.

Can you see this file ?

I copied your data to a new workbook , and everything worked.

If it still does not , see if the checkbox in Excel Options labelled :

Extend data range formats and formulas.

is checked.

One more thing.. you can do..

  • Copy the last row.. and
  • Paste it just below the table..
Formula & table will extend automatically... and old FIXED Manual Input charater's will also carried down at the same time.. (what you actually want)
 
Thank you. I'm not sure why but its still not carrying everything down for me... I will just recreate and see if its some glitch in the initial setup.
