Swipe / Push from Right effect in an Excel Sheet

Hi All,
Thank you for this great forum!

I am developing an application using Excel emulating a Windows 8 interface.
The data collection screens are designed like a wizard - few inputs per screen.
This means I have divided one worksheet into multiple pages.
At a press of a button, user will be taken to the next page (within the worksheet).

I would like to give a swipe effect when the user clicks the next button.
Something like the Push from Right animation in PowerPoint.
I have tried to manipulate the ActiveWindow.LargeScroll and similar methods but in vain.

Please let me know, if there is a method to do this.

I understand this question is not about Formulas, Formatting, shortcuts or Pivot Tables. Please let me know if this question does not belong here.

Thanks in advance.

Good day R.Krishnamoor and welcome to the forum if you have not already done so, please read this link, it will help you in the use of the forum.

You have posted in the correct formula section.

I think you are asking too much of Excel. PowerPoint is the place for such things.................but now I have said that one of the members who have sold their soul to VBA will probably come to your post with a UDF/Macro/ or more involved VBA.

.

Thanks bobhc for confirming and the instructions.
I have gone through the link and understood the instructions. It helps.

I have attached a sample file where I have created the desired output with simple key combinations (I believe :))

  • Open the workbook
  • Ensure that you are in cell A1
  • press Ctrl + Right Arrow to see the swipe from Right.
  • Then press Ctrl + Left Arrow to see the swipe from left.
In office 2013 this gives a smooth (not so smooth) animation transition to the next page.
Hope with some complex logic we can achieve the effect with SendKeys method.
But I am not sure whether the same effect will be there in Office 2010 (minimum).
