sumifs returning zero

Hi there, I have a problem with my sumifs formula returning zero no matter what I do. Am trying to sum sulphur weights on the left between defined dates and times.

Have checked timestamps, number formats etc. but cant figure it out. Can anybody put their finger on it for me please. File attached, the formulas in h2 and I2 are what I am trying to get right, is just a smaller version of what I am trying to achieve. Thanks

Thanks Somendra. I was hasty in preparing my example spreadsheet I see now. It did work in the example but I still cant get it to work in my big spreadsheet and I can't see what I am doing wrong. I have included it here in cells M2 and N2 in sheet 1 of this spreadsheet (coloured blue to make it easier).
What I am really trying to achieve with all this is to add up the amount of sulphur on a shift by shift basis where a shift starts and ends at 6 o'clock for a total of two shifts per day. There should be an easy way to do this if I can get the sumifs formula right I feel.

Your column P Date & Time are text, convert them using Text To Column and I think you will get the right result.
I got 17.31.

Regards,

It does work. I had tried to make sure the dates were in the right format but obviously failed and could not find anything useful on the net to help with this. But you have done it and it is so simple! Might be a good one for a tutorial by Chandoo.org as I am sure I am not the only person to have issues with dates in text form.

Thank you so much Somendra.

Regards

Geoff
