Sumifs Formula Issue

Hello everyone, I am having a issue with a sumifs formula. I cannot sum a monthly total in column "G". At present all resolutions are returned as zero. Could you show me where I am going wrong. I am also concerned about the possibility of creating a circular error which I want to avoid.

I have attached a sample file. Thank you in advance for any support provided.

Hi ,

The problem is that the data in column A is dates , while that in column F is text.

Excel is unable to match the two. The text string October cannot be matched against a date in the month of October , which will be a numeric value.

Conversion from one to the other will be required.

See if this is OK.

Thanks for getting back to me Narayank991. I have tried to make changes, but they do not work. Would it be too much trouble to ask you how to make the changes that would give me the correct outcome. Thank you.
 
Hi ,

You don't need to make any changes to the data ; just use the appropriate formula , which is already inserted in the uploaded workbook.

I gave an explanation as to why the original formula was not working.

Narayank991, very sorry for the misunderstanding on my part. I hadn't realised that you had made an alteration to the formula. Having taken a look at it i didn't realise the work you had undertaken.
