Strange CTRL+END behaviour

Hi,

I have an 2007 .xlsm workbook with 30 plus worksheets. In some of the worksheets when I keep CTRL+END pressed, the active cell goes jumping by ca. 5 columns until the last column.

After resetting .UsedRange (via VBA or manually) the issue seems resolved but save, close, open and it's back.

Anyone any idea what it could be?

Thanks
Hasan

Hi Hasan ,

When you have the workbook open , and you are facing the posted problem , what is the last worksheet cell that you see when you do CTRL END ?

When you say the issue is resolved , what is the last worksheet cell ?

When you save the workbook and reopen it , does this last worksheet cell go back to what it was in the first case ?

In those worksheets where you are having a problem , is there any Worksheet_SelectionChange event procedure ?

Hi Narayan,

I tried the following in my original workbook:

(1) Goto one "problem" sheet, which has visually the cell in I32. CTRL+END jumps to M32
(2) Goto A1, save (without deleting any columns - maybe this is not necessary with Excel 2007), CTRL+END jumps to I32 (so far so good)
(3) Activate next sheet, activate previous sheet (both with CTRL+PgDown/Up), in the problem sheet do CTRL+END jumps to V32
(4) CTRL+END again, and it jumps to AQ35
(5) Hold down CTRL+END and the last cell keeps on going to right "forever". Stop at column BO
(6) Do CTRL+HOME and CTRL+END, it jumps to column BP (always the same row)
(7) Do CTRL+RIGHTARROW, CTRL+HOME and CTRL+END it jumps to the last column
(8) Close the file with save=yes, goto to the problem sheet, CTRL+END jumps to AA33.

I do not have the Worksheet_SelectionChange event in that problem sheet (but in others, which do have the same ctrl+end problem), but I have Workbook_SheetBeforeDoubleClick (to bring forward a user form for select cells).

I have copied a few sheets into a separate workbook, which I am uploding. It does not replicate the steps I described exactly, but the "endless jumping CTRL+END" issue is there in the last worksheet. I suspect that the culprit might be the outlined column D...

Thanks
Hasan

Hi Hasan ,

I don't find any problem in any worksheet ; pressing CTRL END in the three worksheets takes me to D41 , D15 and J44 in the tabs.

Thanks Narayan,

I will have isolate the problem within my Excel / Windows environment then; will let you know if anything valuable comes out.
