Start-Pause- Stop Project

Hello,

I am creating an excel workbook to manage some projects and need help where and how to make a start, pause, and stop button. I do not know how to enter the macros and where. I am not an excel expert and am seeking for help in any sort of way. I would like to increase my knowledge in excel and hope that you can help me out.
I have attached the file I have created.

Hi ,

It would be better if you could explain in detail what you want this workbook to do ; these Start , Pause and Stop buttons may or may not be necessary , and there may be better ways of doing what ever it is you want to do.

What I am trying to do is record the time spent on doing a project weather it take 5 minutes or one hour.
Do you have an idea for me on how to better record project/ assignment?
