speed up filtering of named range

Hi,

I'm using named ranges to organise and filter the data in my worksheet using macros.
I have a named range that is approx a1:f50000 to cover all the data in my worksheet

it takes 1 to 2 minutes to filter the data. However, if I make the named range smaller i.e. a1:f2000 then it filters a lot faster. Is there any way to speed up the filtering process without making the named range smaller?

Try AdvancedFilter instead.

It is usually faster.

Tom: Can you post your code that you are using? And can you give us an idea about what kind of data is in the table? A sample spreadsheet would help.

Is the macro turning off Automatic Calculation ?

How much time does recalculation take normally ?
