Sorting index/match errors

Hello, I am new to this forum, so I apologize for anything that I do not do properly here. I have a table (attached) pretty much does what I want it to do until I sort.

In column A: I want to be able to enter the student # (from column I or N) and then have the appropriate information entered into columns B-D (B is the section, so that was simple). The problem is that I want to be able to sort the students in each section by the score that is in either column K or P. But when I do that it returns N/A for several students in columns C & D. It is set up so if anyone selects columns O & P and sorts by column P the errors in columns C & D can be seen. This is a simplification of what I am really doing, where there are hundreds of entries in the columns that I am calling from. The ability to sort data by K and P is critical. I would appreciate any help anyone would care to offer.
