Sorting Data by month

Hello all,

I'm making a customer information spreadsheet and am running into an issue. I want to make it so that when I enter all the customer information into the main sheet (sheet 1) when I enter their date of birth, the data will then be automatically entered in the corresponding months spreadsheet. In other words, if the customer was born March 6th their info would show up on my March sheet and so on. I have the basic layout made up in the attached file. Thanks for the help all.

I'd recommend using Pivot Table for this. Unless you are dead set on layout of each sheet.

Once you set up Pivot Table to summarize data by month, just double click on one of the field and it will create new sheet with only the data for the month.

Unfortunately the person for whom I am building this for wants it this way. Also I'm pretty green at Excel so I need instructions in noob form please.

It will be easier to get help, if you can populate the workbook with enough data, say about 20 or so lines.

P.S. What's the expected size for Master data (i.e. How many rows)?

On your customer management list, why are you breaking out DOB Year, DOB Month and DOB Day in separate columns? What's the thinking behind it?

I changed your data entry page a little... there are 2 hidden columns in the right of your table that will sequence the monthly data as you enter it. This creates an index column to search and match on... I then deleted all of the monthly sheets build out January. I changes A1 to a real date to key off and replicated Jan for the rest of the year and updated A1 in each... I did a quick test and all appears to work nicely... Just enter your sales and the months all auto populate...
