Show Month in a column based on a MM/DD/YYYY in another

I have a column of dates formatted MM/DD/YYYY. I want to create another column that will state that date as just the month. Such as, 2/15/2016 would be Feb, 3/23/2017 would be Mar etc.

1] A1 : 02/15/2016

2] A2 : 03/23/2017

3] In B1, formula copied down :

=TEXT(A1,"mmm")
