Hi,

on my journal sheet i am trying to get the data from the data sheet to pull through in one column e.g. if Q38 on the data sheet is blank then pick the data from t38 and drop it into the next line in the journal sheet but the formula is obviously running through the series. I would be very grateful if someone could help, thank you in advance.

Thanks
Manuel

Hi Jaro, i had a quick question if the length in Q:Q changes (e.g 37 - 20 (COUNTA formula) i am unsure how you would be able to fix this and i want to also replicate the same formula in columns C & E in the journal tab but somehow the cells keep going out of sync? any help will be much appreciated.

Thanks
Manuel

Try yourself, the formulae works without problem independent of number of rows. If you have to change the ranges, adjust as you need. If you have trouble, put the formulae you try and the file here and will see...

P.D.: I suppose both columns have same number of elements. Blessings!

Hi Jaro,

I have attached the sheet, the problem is if i delete the rows in the journal sheet that are blank then i have an issue and when i delete the lines with NA in the data tab the lines go out of sync so ill have 3 ZJBX33 and 1 ZJBX045 rather than 2 of each, hope you can help?

Thanks!

Yeah! There was a little mistake there.

See again the attachment. Blessings!

Two things:

1. Check the last COUNTA() range. Must be one of the ranges you want to put into one column.
2. It is necessary that the columns with which it is going to work have some title.

Blessings!
