I recently discovered that there isn’t a direct solution (VBA or otherwise) allowing simultaneous access to a shared Excel dashboard file where the users have different access rights, such as being able to view certain tabs and not others, or have access to certain data sets and not others. The only workaround, it seems is to create separate workbooks with unique permissions for each user per workbook. What I would like to know is, what alternative applications/platforms are available for this type of project, if any. I’m wondering if Power BI might work. Only problem with that is my employer doesn’t use it. I’m sure this has come up before and curious how others have solved for it. Thanks in advance for sharing your insights.
