Sharing a macro enabled workbooks

Hi All,

If I've created a macro enabled workbook, what steps must I take to insure that the macros I am creating will be available when I share the workbook on a network drive?

I have the same question, how to share or send through mail a macro enable excel workbook so that the receiver can also use that?

Hi.....you can simply create the Macro and share the workbook with anyone....via email or network or share workbook option or portable device anything....the only condition would be the end user should have Excel App and Enable the macros....


The only problem arise when you use the share workbook from Share Workbook Option and have a password to protect/unprotect workbook within VBA....


Thats what I think of...atleast....

Thanks for your reply, but if a macro function is tagged with a button, will the persone be able to use that button for same function? I have sent through mail to someone where i have used a button tagged with function written through VBA, it seemed that the particular macro is not present at there. I haven't used any password at there.


Below I have given a sample workbook where a macro programme is present, when I am sending this file through a mail the macro is not present at there.

HI Sudipta....Have you re-checked, this shouldnt be the case.....even if any macro has been assigned to a button (form control) or a active X button , it should work at any desk...


Your attachment doesnt have any Macros within it, there are no Buttons either, just a Validation.....is this correct?????
