Separate numbers in one cell into two cells

I have two numbers in one cell separated by a forward slash (8/2.1). I need to separate the numbers into two cells. "8" in one cell and "2.1" in another cell. The text to columns function does not appear to work as the workbook is a template and I copy data onto the worksheet over and over. See attached example. Thanks.

Formulas based upon SEARCH, LEFT and VALUE would work. Otherwise, if your input is a data column, flash fill will recognise the pattern from a single instance.

I tested (with 'left-top-sample-file') and
it worked as well as it could work ...

As simple as "Split column" with delimiter "/" ... if you want to try Power Query.
