Scroll bar parameters

I am reading the tutorial on the 6 Part KPI dashboards with the scroll bar. I have no idea what each of the values in each field means.

1. On the 'Calculation' tab, how does the value in D5 automatically change when you scroll up/down on the scroll bar? I don't see any formulas in D5.

2. What is the purpose of the 'Maximum Position' in cell D6 on the 'Calculation' tab?

3. The tutorial says to enter a formula with the OFFSET function. Where do you enter this formula?

Hi ,

To make it easier for others to understand what you are referring to , I think you should post the link to the page / download link ; otherwise who ever wishes to answer your question has to first search through the website.

In general , a scroll bar being a control object , has certain properties ; if it is a Form control , these can be accessed by right-clicking on the control , and clicking on Format Control. If it is an ActiveX control , these can be accessed by clicking on the Design button , and then right-clicking on the scrollbar control , and then clicking on Properties.

Go through all of these , and you will see a property called Cell link or LinkedCell. This is linked to the control , and as the control is manipulated by the user , reflects the changing values in this cell.
