Return complete row based on date criteria

I have a transactions data of more than 1000 rows in a sheet.
(a) i want to return those rows whose transaction date is between a specific month.
(b) i want to return those rows whose transaction date is between two specific dates.
I am using Excel 2010. Need help on this.

Of course, You could do this with Pivot-table too...
