Restrict the entries of combo boxes/ Synchronize the combo boxes

I have inserted three combo boxes in my sheet. Is there any way that we can limit the entries of second box based on our selection in first combo box? For example: I select the state NJ in my first combo box, then the second combo box only illustrates the categories only in state NJ.

Your response is greatly appreciated.

Regards,

GN

Hi GN ,

I think a similar question has been asked earlier. Can you check this and get back if you still find your problem not resolved ?

Thank you from all.

Can you please give me more smoother direction as to where link or location I should go.

Hi, GGGGG!

I haven't checked nor read the links of other comments posted, but within mine there's an uploaded example file. Have you really looked within the links, read the details, downloaded the files, or are you just trying to click once and link to a solution file? If not, I'd recommend you to do so.

Hi, GGGGG!

Just answered here, were you posted:

The technique used is for a 2 chained level of list boxes, but it can be easily adapted to 3 as in your question, or even more.

As a recommendation, it'd be easier for people who reads a topic to have all the main thread and all the comments/posts within that topic, and reference other topics with links if needed, so as to being able to follow the history of the thread from one single place. Additionaly, you don't hijack other user's topic.

I copy my answer below:

@GGGGG

Hi!

The last link is to a workbook that has a 2 level of chained drop down list boxes.

First level, country (3 entries in the example). Column A.

Second level, city (3, 2, 4, entries). Columns B:D.

First drop down list box, G1. Yellow shaded.

Second drop down list box, J1. Idem.
