Required formula for Minus Percentage

Khalid NGO

Excel Ninja
Hello Everyone,
Greetings from Pakistan...

I am trying to get qty with Minus percentage but not getting the required.

Column 'B' = Actual Quantities
Column 'C' = 15% of Actual Qty.
Column 'D' having Total Qty. (actual + 15%)

Required Column 'G'
a formula that will calculate Total - 15% Bonus

I tried =D4-(D4*$C$3/100) Result = 4,888 which is not required (required result = 5,000)

Sample file also attached.

Thanking you in anticipation.
BR,

Khalid

Hi Khalid,

Simply calculate D4 / (1 + 15%). It would be a good idea to store your bonus percentage as a real % number (0.15) and percentage formatting to display it is a percentage. Pls enter 0.15 in the cell C3 and press Ctrl + Shift + 5

Wow thats great...
Thanks Anand for your valued suggestion.

Hi Khalid,

You can also calculate the figure 5000 directly from Bonus amount by : Bonus Amount / 0.15

...Since A and B cols will not be present.

Thanks Sir Faseeh,
Very nice solution, but actually i don't want to use Actual and Bonus Columns, therefore i think =D4/(1+15%) is good for me.

Appreciate your reply.
