Regarding the Date

When i copy the dates from one file to another the year changes , even i f copy and paste special also the it changes.

Any particlar reason?

Hi, vmohan1978!

A simple paste might change the date values if there is a formula in the related cell but paste special with value option shouldn't do it at all. Would you please elaborate a bit more and indicate source and target cell contents, format and displayed value, before and after copy operation?

Regards!

Dear Kaushik03,

Thanks for your help and guidance regarding the 1900 and 1904 date system, I didn't knew it till i face this problem

I had gone through the Link you had send it, it helper a lot.

I am working on Excel has MacXL default 1904 date system , where as the data i am copied from other file is having WinXL default 1900 date system .

I will be using 80-100 Files having dates and other information , i can't check each and every file has default 1904 or 1900 date system .

How to overcome this problem irrespective of 1904 or 1900 Date System .

I never tried copying From 1904 Date System to 1900 Date System . I Will try today and comeback tomorrow with the outcome of it

Regards ,

Mohan
