Recording a Macro question

I have several rows I want to copy from 1 sheet to a new sheet and have the new sheet reference 1 row down. Example: copy C3 - (formula in cell C3 references row 1989) paste on new sheet to C3 but want to reference with same formula but next row down 1988.

Two questions:

How would I go about recording this change?

Can I group multiple cells together or do I have to do 1 at a time?

For example I want to copy cells C3:F7, N3:Q7 , Y3:AB7 that all reference a formula in the cells to row 1989. When I paste them to the new sheet I want them to paste the same formula but 1 row down 1988

Is this possible to record or do I need a a Macro written to do this task?
