Rebase Formula

Hi Ninjas,

I have a file prepared by a third party with three columns; Date | Price | Index.
Now it is required to update the same table with new values in order to prepare the chart.

I have the data of 'Date' and 'Price' but the 'Index' column data to be calculated. It is a 'rebased' value taking the first 'Price' value as the rebase. I tried to find out the formula to calculate but could not get it exactly.

Please help. I have attached the file with few data from the beginning.

Best regards,
Ens

Hi Chirayu,

Yes, there is another column which is excluded on assumption that it has no relation with this (sorry). It is the volume. I am attaching the new file with this new column. Please have a look.

Do you means something like this
Hi ,

The formula used by Chandoo in preparing the indexed charts is different from what you have used.

See the charts on the tab Sheet2 in the attached workbook.
