Another favour to ask please. I prepare a 12 month rolling sales table for my boss. The final 2 columns show the total £ value of the customer's orders and their rank as buyer. This is done using RANK.EQ. I have prepared the next month's set of data on a separate sheet which has altered the £ values and rank. He wants to see the previous month's rank alongside the present to see how the positions have changed.
I guess I need some sort of LOOKUP / INDEX formula referencing the customer's name which are unique.
Additionally, there will be some new customers in the latest month's figures who didn't appear in the previous month's list. Instead of a Rank number it will probably return #REF or #VALUE, I would like a false return to show NEW in the column. (In the sample provided there are no new customers).
So, in short, I need it to ref the customer list in Col A on Mar 2015-Feb 2016 sheet hunt down the the name of Feb 15 -Jan 16, retrieve their last month's ranking and show it in Col P on this month's sheet.
