Howdy,

Is there a way to pull information from a PDF and have it copy into an Excel file?

Someone emailed me a excel file that they scanned into their computer as a PDF. instead of recreating that file i was hoping there is a way to extract the information and put it into a usable file.

If its a VBA or that type of function then I'm totally lost. Can never figure those out much less no where to begin.

Any information would be appreciated.

Nope.

Its a scanned image of a scanned excel sheet. I tried to extract the data but got a lot of garbage.. almost looked lik it was Windings but is covers 34000 lines worth of nothing.

Tried to copy all and paste but only pasted an image of it.

Any ideas???

Beg the sender to send the actual file? I don't think there's any software available that can do what you need. Even if it could read the pdf, any formulas/formatting would be lost.

Thats what i thought. Sender only has a printed copy. His "help" deleted original on computer.

Oh well.... looks like i will be haveing fun recopying.

Thanks for the help.
