Project Burndown charts

Hi y'all and beginning to apply Burn-down charts since I read those will be included in MS Project 2013 dashboard functionality. I know this type of chart mostly applied to agile software development methodologies such as Scrum, but I appreciate if you could share some insights to apply this chart to other IT projects. Any feedback will be appreciated.
 
Not sure what you are asking for. Since you already know that a burn-down chart is typically used in "agile" projects, if you are looking to apply just the chart (without the rest of the agile methods), your best bet would be to understand the benefits of using such a chart (such as communication, motivation, etc.) and determine how you could apply it in your other projects.
