Production Formula

I am looking for a formula to caculate production within my team. My team has a requirement to produce one report within three months. How do I track that with a formula on a month to month basis?

I have quite a few formulas for the monthly and daily trackers. For this team I need a formula to track the requirement of 1 report within 3 months. Just not sure how to show that.

Something like the attached? I needed to add a Start Date for the time calculation.

Not quite. My team could do any of the reports (1-5) within a three month period. So if they only do one report within the time frame, how do I show that in a monthly report?

so, if they do nothing for month one and one report for month two and nothing for month three, how would I show that in a monthly report where the requirement is just one report for that reporting period?

So let me explain in full. at the end of the every month I do a report that shows the daily and monthly metrics for my teams. Two of my teams are easy as they have daily and weekly requirements. The third teams requirements are a bit more challenging to track on a monthly basis. Meaning each month may show zero reports, however, when the requirement is one report for every three months it is difficult to track that metric on a monthly basis. So what I am looking for is how to show that in a monthly report.

@David W.

How about this? Since the reports are due three months after starting, and some periods may not have reports, you'll need to track the Start Date or Assigned Date for each report to see if it's been completed in the allotted time.

I was thinking a bit more about this. If your format isn't fixed, you could try using an Excel table with a different output section (See A11). Entering new data is easy, just type it in below the last line and the output will automatically update. This would be more flexible over time and allow for longer-term reviews. Play with it a bit and see what you think.

@Mike86. Thanks. I see where you are going with this. For some reason it didn't occur to me to input the start dates and use that as a projection of percentage complete towards the projected end date of assigned requirement. That works as well. Thanks for the help.

@PaulF. Thanks for the help as well. I really do not have any data to go off yet as this is a relatively new process to track. Just trying to get ready for the first month of report tracking for this new team. Thanks.
