Product pricing based on volume

The price of product varies based on volume.

Volume - Volume Price

0 - 19999 $20

20000 - 39999 $18

40000 - 59999 $17.50

60000 - 89999 $17

90000 - 129999 $16.50

130000 and more $15

How to put in a formula which will identify what price to select based on volume.

For Ex. If the volume was 65000 then the price should have been $17.

Hello,

Welcome to the forums.

Assuming that the price is in B1:B6, and low-end of the volume tier (0,20000,40000,etc) is in A1:A6

=INDEX(B1:B6,MATCH(65000,A1:A6))

Cheers,

Sajan.

Hi Udara ,

First , please start a new thread for your question , since it does not bear any relationship to the original question asked by 1984ritesh.

Second , please do not make up examples to get a solution , which may or may not be applicable to the real-life problem which you want solved ; give the exact data layout , and the real-life working data.

The formula given to solve one example which you have posted may not be applicable if there are several items one after the other as in the following example :

Description Frequency

Text A 5
Text B 3
Text C 1
Text D 5
